He paused on the refrain and pondered it for a moment. He loved her so much. He didn't want to lose her because of a misunderstanding. So in deciding not to tell her how he felt, he committed himself to her happiness. Almost as if she'd heard his thoughts, Seven entered the room. He didn't notice her at first, so she just stood there listening to him sing their first song. It was as if the words had new meaning for her. Every word made her unendingly sad and desperately happy at the same time. His shoulders looked heavy and sunken. She inched forward wanting to end the torture, but instead remained silent and watched him pour over the screen in front of him. She knew he'd never do anything to hurt her not just because of his programming but because he'd never lied to her. Finally he noticed her presence and turned his head sharply in her direction. He stopped singing. Instead of turning to speak he kept his back to her not wanting to face her, not yet. He thought it best to say nothing. Normally, when he did open his mouth, trouble followed. She indulged herself in a gesture of how she felt. Seven wanted to be near him. She laid her head on his shoulder and wove her arms around his waist. Closing the space between them, she never felt more comfortable. She felt home. Seven waited for him to respond. His posture slumped more noticeably and he turned around in her arms. He searched her face for the reason for her actions. She'd never embraced anyone before. He couldn't keep doing this. He couldn't keep holding his feelings in. She had to know. "I know." She said. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize until now." Was it the gold of her hair or was there always a halo above her face? All of the hurt he'd felt, all of the anguish was gone in that instant. The look she gave him was one of adoration and of love. "Seven," he began, "do you really know what you think you know?" "I know that when we are together I feel something I haven't felt for as long as I can remember. I feel safe and cared for and loved." He wished that they could've frozen that moment in time like on of his pictures. He wanted to see her this way forever. "You truly are my sunshine." He said drawing her in for a kiss.
