I felt the call to write a Chakotay/Seven story mainly because some of my webfriends said it could never happen. Having been the victim of sudden rushes of desire for a person I'd been seeing every day, I speak truthfully when I say, oh yes, it very well could happen. Add to this the fact that Voyager's rumor mill must be working 24/7 by now, and well, there ya have it.

There's an ionic storm, the shuttle crashes, Harry and Seven are injured and they are stranded until the storm passes. When temperatures drop, they seek shelter and do what's necessary to survive.

Over the course of taking actions against that thread two women, of whom everybody thought they were mortal enemy's, become the closest of friends. There is another saying that even the Borg use; change comes in different sizes. Because while two women change and become friends somewhere else in the Galaxy a vision starts a chain of events that could change the entire known, and unknown, Galaxy. Two things that have nothing to do with each other. Or so a casual observer might think.
